Mary is an AAPG Certified Petroleum Geologist with 35 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. She is the owner of Sanctuary Oaks Consultants International, Inc., a geological consulting firm located in Flatonia, Texas. She holds a bachelor's degree in geology from University of Wisconsin-Madison and a master's degree in geology from University of Texas-Arlington
Mary is currently a PhD Candidate at the University of Houston Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, working under Dr. John Castagna. Her dissertation topic is Geologic Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage, with emphasis on CCUS targets in the Permian Basin.
